This Shaw’s Cove Laguna Beach maternity session was everything I love about documenting motherhood. The poetic, quiet, and deeply personal vibe is everything! It felt like the perfect place to capture Emily’s maternity session, just weeks before welcoming her baby boy into the world.

Instead of a traditional couple’s maternity shoot, we chose to focus on Emily alone. A motherhood session that honored her future journey and the quiet anticipation of meeting her little one. These sessions hold such a special place in my heart because they remind women that motherhood begins long before the baby arrives.

Emily moved through the soft sand showing off her bump, barefoot and free, the waves curling around her feet as the sun dipped lower. We laughed, we cried, and we celebrated this fleeting season the last moments before her life changes.
