My heart is still full from Ty and Michelle’s engagement session in Newport and Huntington Beach. The love, laughter, and raw connection between them was truly special.. Every moment felt like a page taken from a love story, wrapped in the cool ocean breeze and beautiful light.

A College Romance Turned Forever. We started Michelle & Ty’s Southern California engagement session in Huntington Beach, where they were vacationing—and yes, their dog joined too (always a yes from me). They also booked me because they were drawn to my natural engagement photography style. They were drawn to my work because it is less posed, more candid, and romantic without being cringey. Think real moments, authentic posing, and a quiet kind of nostalgic moment.

We went from Huntington Beach to Newport Beach. This session was a cloudy, overcast morning by the beach. Some couples worry about the morning fog but I personally feel like it adds to the session and brings a good element to their photos.

How They Met: A College Romance Turned Forever

Their story? A college romance that, over time, turned into forever.. They met as sophomores at the University of Maryland, shared a first kiss junior year, and reconnected on the first night of senior year—Michelle made the move (with pink eye, no less). The two have been together for eleven years. No matter the challenges, their bond only grows stronger with each passing year.

This session was just that: a reflection of their real-life rhythm. Honest, joyful, and full of love.
