Moab Elopement and Steamy “Night Before” Session

September 19, 2022

One word for this blog… SEXY AF. This couple has freaking chemistry. Missy and Josh traveled to Newport Beach, CA for me to photograph their engagement session and after that we were instantly bonded. They asked me to travel to Utah to photograph their elopement and I was immediately stoked!

A month before the elopement, Missy called me telling me she was feeling sort of anxious about the whole thing and wanted to change up the plans a bit. She explained it was losing the “about them feel”. I had a better idea.. THE NIGHT BEFORE THEIR WEDDING SHOOT. They were SO down! What better way to calm the nerves from the big day then to just spend the evening having a drunken blast with your boo? I was SO stoked they said yes because I knew this would help shake the nerves and sure enough, it surpassed that!

Sooo, I got them a little too drunk (oops)! We went to their hotel, ate popcorn (or tried to… it turned into a popcorn fight), snuggled, took a bath and had some fun in the hallway on a luggage cart. Literally just had the best freaking night EVER. Next day, their family said “I don’t know what you did to them last night, but they have not stopped smiling and could not stop talking about last night”. YOU ARE FREAKING WELCOME.

The Perfect Elopement

The next day, elopement jitters were gone, and the two of them tied the knot. It was the most amazing ceremony with a few of their closest friends & family. After the ceremony, my husband and I took the couple all around Arches National Park. We just explored together while taking photos of them. We left them in a private place to read their vows together, It was the most perfect day!!
